  • 1. What is MTC Summer Stars: Scratch & Win?

    MTC Summer Stars: Scratch & Win is a festive digital rewards campaign that allows MTC customers to win instant airtime, Maris Wallet cash, iPhones and grand cash prizes of up to N$500,000 by performing everyday actions such as recharging, subscribing to content services, or buying Aweh bundles.

    The campaign celebrates MTC customers as Namibia's stars. Every recharge, subscription, or bundle purchase becomes a red-carpet moment.

  • 2. When will the campaign run?

    The campaign runs from 30 October 2025 until 30 January 2026, inclusive of both days.

  • 3. Who can participate?

    The campaign is open to all active MTC Prepaid and Postpaid customers who are Namibian citizens or permanent residents.

    Not eligible:

    • Non-MTC customers
    • MTC directors, employees, suppliers, contractors, and agencies, including their immediate families
    • Partner agency staff involved in the Campaign
    • Corporate, bulk, M2M, or data-only accounts
    • Suspended or inactive accounts
  • 4. How can I participate?

    There are three ways to qualify for Scratch Cards during the Campaign.

    Mechanic 1: Recharge with N$30 or more

    Every airtime recharge of N$30 and above earns scratch cards based on the recharge amount. To qualify for the competition, you must recharge with a single N$30 voucher. Multiple smaller recharges (e.g. three N$10 vouchers) will not be considered as a valid entry.

    Note: Only active daily subscribers that are successfully billed for the full amount of the subscription service qualify. Canceled, partial or expired subscriptions are not eligible for Scratch Cards.

    Mechanic 3: Buy any Aweh Bundle

    Purchasing selected Aweh YoData, Aweh YoVoice, or Aweh Ultra bundles automatically earns scratch cards based on the bundle value.

  • 5. How do I get my scratch card?

    Once you recharge, subscribe, or buy an eligible bundle:

    1. If you recharge or buy a bundle you will receive an SMS with a link to your Scratch Card.
    2. Open the link or USSD menu and scratch to reveal your prize instantly. You will only know what you have won once you receive the pop-up notification indicating whether you've won a prize or not.
    3. If you subscribe to the VIP subscription and / or an upsell subscription service you will be notified in your welcome SMS.

    • Instant Airtime Prizes are credited to your airtime balance automatically.
    • Weekly Maris Wallet Cash (N$500 per winner, two winners per week)
    • Monthly iPhone 14 (128GB) draws (10 winners per month)
    • Grand Cash Prizes:
      • First Prize: N$500,000
      • Second Prize: N$200,000
      • Third Prize: N$100,000
  • 7. When are the draws happening?

    • Weekly Maris Wallet Draws: Every Monday, starting 10 November 2025, with the final draw on 26 January 2026
    • Monthly iPhone Draws:
      • 3 December 2025
      • 2 January 2026
      • 3 February 2026
    • Grand Prize Draw: 6 February 2026
  • 8. How will winners be contacted?

    Winners will be contacted directly by MTC through verified MTC numbers or SMS.

    MTC will make three contact attempts within 48 hours.

    If unreachable or verification fails, the prize will be forfeited and passed to a runner-up.

    MTC will never request PINs or payment details to claim prizes.

  • 9. Do I need a Maris Wallet to win?

    Yes. All weekly and grand prize winners must have an active MTC Maris Wallet account. You can register for free via *140*682# or go to maris.mtc.com.na for more information.

    Customers who do not have a Maris Wallet by the time of the draw will be given seven calendar days to register and verify one. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of any cash prize.

  • 10. Can I win more than once?

    You can win multiple daily prizes but only one major prize (weekly, monthly, or grand) per customer during the campaign.

  • 11. How will the draws be conducted?

    • All draws are conducted using a secure random digital system.
    • Each qualifying recharge, subscription, or bundle purchase is logged as a unique entry.
    • The system uses a random number generator (RNG) for fair selection.
    • Draws are verified by MTC's Internal Audit team and an independent witness in accordance with Lotteries Act and Regulations.
  • 12. Disqualification Rules

    MTC reserves the right to disqualify any participant who:

    • Is not eligible to enter as per FAQ 3 above;
    • Manipulates or abuses the system (e.g., bulk SIMs, fake recharges, or automation);
    • Provides false or misleading information;
    • Fails to comply with the campaign Terms and Conditions; and/ or
    • Engages in fraudulent or unethical behavior

    Disqualified participants forfeit all prizes.

  • 13. Is there any cost to play?

    You need to recharge, subscribe, or buy an eligible bundle in order to redeem Scratch Cards. Standard data or subscription fees apply for content services.

  • 14. How is my information protected?

    All personal data collected will be processed in accordance with MTC's Data Protection and Privacy Policies.

    Winners' names and photos will only be published with their consent.
